Roses
We
carry only top quality roses. Our growers are mainly from Ecuador,
B.C. and California. The beautiful Ecuadorian roses have a great
lasting quality and superior head size.
Your
roses can be designed in a clear glass vase or can be made into
a "vase ready" hand- tied bouquet.
We
carry a wide selection of flower vases and containers. For an
upscale look, popular in today's magazines, we use short stemmed
roses in a compact design, great for dinner parties or special
occasions. We can even mix in some fresh fruit for a real change.
Roses cut shorter also seem to last better.
Roses can be temperamental
- if you are having any problems with your roses, we suggest you
give them a recut with a sharp knife or cutters, remove about
2 to 3 inches and then place them immediately in water. This usually
gets them drinking again.
The
colors of roses have a variety of meanings in every culture. These
are the most common associations:
Red: love, respect, passion, courage
Pink: grace, joy, thankfulness, happiness
White: innocence, spiritual, purity
Yellow: joy, friendship
Lavender: enchantment
Orange: fascination, enthusiasm
Coral: desire
Bi-color: unity, gladness
Peach: modesty
